1) Priority Living

A time management plan is much more than just managing time. How we use time is what makes up our lives. Many of us allow time to be carried away by the urgent, and when that happens, our priorities are always the first to go. How do we re-claim a balanced life and manage our time around our priorities? Thinking through where we are right now and what really matters to us is the first step in creating a good time management plan. We’ll talk about how to take those steps of discovery and re-organize our time to reflect the life we want to live.

2) Tips For Your Time Management Style

There are many tips and techniques to more efficiently manage time, but not all of them work for every person. Finding out your Time Management Style is the key to using the techniques that suit your personality so you can finally have a plan that works for you. We’ll take a fun test to discover your Time Management Style, then discuss many timesaving and productivity-producing ideas to use your treasured time in the best way possible.

3) Time For Laundry

With a new perspective on time, and a clear idea of what our daily /weekly/ monthly priorities are , this class will be a precursor to the science of laundry in the “ Bright And Cheerful Home “ Seminar. Setting up a laundry schedule for each member of the family, when to do sheets and towels , etc. will be a welcome shift from the overwhelming situation in the laundry room. Our laundry expert will share some practical tips on how to do this with ease and grace ! Your family will thank you , and you will become an expert in this much needed scheduled task!

CLASS 1
Planning: The Most Anticipated Meal of the Week
Sunday Dinners are a special meal that have thought, care and time devoted to them. This talk will focus on the planning for this meal and some tips on how to prepare for the week. With menu planning in advance we can avoid the pitfalls of frequent less-than-nutritious take-out meals and/or the stress of putting together a meal at the last minute when everyone in the family is tired and hungry. This session provides attendees with a personal menu planner and a list of pantry essentials.

CLASS 2
Setting the Table—Sunday’s Best

Weeknight dinners together are a challenge with each day’s schedule packed with various commitments and obligations for every member of the family. Having Sunday dinners together and setting the table for that anticipated meal of the week can really have an impact on the family in some remarkable ways! This class will demonstrate how when we put the care into setting the table with special dishes, glassware and flatware the whole family will be excited to share this special time together. Other ideas will be shared for occasions such as birthdays, certain holidays and themed dinners.

CLASS 3
Enjoying the Company: Good Conversation and Good Manners
Research has proved that family dinners and conversation have a positive impact on problem solving skills, healthy relationships, and children who have a healthy sense of self esteem. This talk will focus on the practical application of teaching the art of conversation to younger members of the family and how to inspire them to be well-mannered.

CLASS 4
Cooking And Cleaning Up —Getting Everyone Involved!
Working together whether preparing or cleaning up a meal affords all members of the family countless occasions to learn new skills, to grow in virtue, and to strengthen familial unity. Teaching moments abound in this natural setting of the home: praise for specific virtuous words or acts; gentle correction of unacceptable attitudes (child or parent); consistent example of work well done; the recognition of the importance of the spirit of service in family life. In this talk-and-demonstration, one presenter explained the basic tasks involved in meal preparation and those of a thorough kitchen cleaning that children need to be taught according to age and ability. While giving a demonstration of how to use a knife correctly, our second presenter prepared all the necessary ingredients for chili, simple enough for a child to prepare. Never underestimate the capacity of willing children to learn new skills and to grow in confidence and competence!

CLASS 1

The Basics Of Beauty- Putting Ourselves Together
The pace of life, the myriad demands of a growing family, and the inevitable unforeseen calamities leave today’s young mothers with less than ample time to devote to taking care of themselves. Yet caring for themselves is essential, not only personally, but as a wife, a mother, as a friend to many. This up-beat session aims to show the busy mom that being well-groomed and attractive is not only possible, but of great benefit to her. Together with loads of beauty tips from other, experienced (“been there, done that”) mothers, the presenter stressed the importance of a schedule, using time well, right intention, and always good humor!

CLASS 2

The Joys Of The Well Designed Closet
Who among us has not stood in our closet, half-awake, staring at a jumble of clothes and accessories, frantically trying to figure out what to wear today…quickly?! The best antidote to that oft-repeated scenario is found in an organized clothes closet. In this session attendees will learn how to create a well-designed closet with accessibility, visibility, flexibility, and uniformity.

CLASS 3

A Wardrobe That Works For You
This multi-faceted session which ranges from the personal (each attendee defines her own style and analyzes her own lifestyle), to the general (tips for shopping…and for before shopping!) teaches young moms to know what kind of wardrobe suits them and the way they live their lives now. Learning how to build a go-to wardrobe and how to dress for transitional times in their lives are invaluable lessons for all of them. Young moms come away from the session far more knowledgeable and confident in their ability to dress stylishly and appropriately in all situations.
